Thanks so much Eileen. This piece followed the loss of a dear senior here at the retirement residence that we manage. I became close to her over the past fourteen months, too close really and something I have to be very careful to avoid in my capacity and the exposure to this that we face daily. Hugs.

Thanks very much Eileen. This was a different piece for me. I felt somewhat distracted while writing it and am not sure it came out quite as I had hoped. Will put it down for now and come back to it for another read soon…perhaps edit a bit. Hugs.

that’s an interesting conclusion…..sounded so much like a “lasting sort of affair” thing up until that end. i like the subtle rhyming you worked into this….and the descriptive stance that lent sort of a distance.
